    A special date note, often called a date of birth note, is a genuine Indian banknote whose six-digit serial number matches a date that matters. For 12 August 1995, that is the serial 120895 (day, month, year).     What is a date of birth currency note?

    Are the banknotes genuine?
    Yes. Every note is a genuine Reserve Bank of India banknote, checked before it ships. It sits in an acid-free sleeve and is never glued, stapled, pinned or written on.
    Is the note still valid money?
    Yes. The note remains Indian legal tender. The price covers the note itself, finding the matching serial and its presentation, and we show it clearly before you enquire.
    How much does it cost?
    Each note has its own price by value, from ₹249 for a ₹1 note. Sets of 2, 3, 5 or 9 notes get a discount on the notes, and the website shows the full price, part by part, before you enquire.
    What if no note matches the date?
    We source it through our collector network; it usually arrives in 10 to 19 working days. We confirm the exact serial with you on WhatsApp before you pay anything.
    How do I pay?
    Nothing is paid on this website. Send your enquiry on WhatsApp; we confirm the exact note, and if you go ahead we send a UPI request. We never ask for card details.
    How long does delivery take?
    Notes from our vault arrive in 5 to 9 working days, packed and delivered. Sourced notes arrive in 10 to 19 working days. The website warns you when the date is too close for a sourced note.
    Which date format is used?
    DDMMYY, the Indian convention, by default: 12 August 1995 becomes 120895. You can also choose MMDDYY or YYMMDD if it gives a more interesting serial.
    Can I choose the denomination?
    Yes. Choose ₹1, ₹2, ₹5, ₹10, ₹20, ₹50, ₹100, ₹200 or ₹500 notes, and the same value more than once if you like. Availability depends on the serial; we confirm the exact notes on WhatsApp before you pay. ₹1 notes are issued by the Government of India, the others by the Reserve Bank of India.

    Terms of use

    This website is run by A Date Worth Framing (“we”, “us”). By using it or sending us an enquiry you agree to these terms.

    1. This website is for enquiries

    This website lets you find banknotes whose serial number matches a date, see the price and send us an enquiry on WhatsApp. It does not sell anything and never takes payment. Sending an enquiry does not commit you, or us, to anything.

    2. Prices

    The price shown covers the note (its face value plus a collector’s premium for the matching serial, higher for fancy serials), sourcing and presentation. We confirm the exact note and price on WhatsApp before you pay. If anything has to change, for example the note is no longer available, we tell you first and you decide.

    3. Pictures and serials

    Note pictures are RBI specimen images or illustrations. A note carries the serial shown, but its letter prefix, signature and printing year can differ. We tell you the exact note before you decide.

    4. If you decide to buy

    A sale happens only when you accept our confirmation on WhatsApp and pay. We accept payment by UPI only. We never ask for card numbers, bank passwords or OTPs; if anyone does, it is not us. Prices are in Indian rupees. Before you pay we tell you the delivery date and any delivery charge.

    Notes not in our vault are sourced through collectors and usually arrive in 10 to 19 working days. If we cannot find the note, you owe nothing, and if you have paid we refund you in full.

    5. Delivery, cancellations and refunds

    • We ship within India by tracked courier. Ownership and risk pass to you on delivery.
    • You can cancel for a full refund until we dispatch.
    • Each gift is made for a specific date and person, so we do not take returns for a change of mind after dispatch, except where the law requires.
    • If your parcel arrives damaged, or the note is not the one we confirmed, tell us within 48 hours of delivery with photos (an unboxing video helps). We will replace it or refund you in full.
    • Refunds go back to the UPI account you paid from, within 7 working days of approval.

    6. Care of the note

    We never glue, staple, pin or write on a note. Please do the same: it keeps the note’s value and respects the RBI’s Clean Note Policy.

    7. Personal data

    We use your details only to answer your enquiry and, if you buy, to deliver it. See our privacy policy.

    8. Our responsibility

    The website and its estimates are provided for information. If you buy, our total responsibility is limited to the amount you paid. Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

    9. Grievances

    If something has gone wrong, write to our grievance officer on WhatsApp at +91 88391 41475. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within one month.

    10. Law and courts

    These terms are governed by the laws of India.

    11. Changes

    We may update these terms. The version on this page when you send an enquiry is the one that applies to it.
